
Bio
Eric Letta is an exciting and creative saxophonist, whose roots are deeply grounded in the traditions of jazz, but whose style incorporates many genres like funk, Latin, R&B, and soul. A native of Akron, Ohio, he studied jazz privately and was a member of the Ohio All-State Jazz ensemble before earning a degree from Kent State University. He spent the first ten years of his musical career playing in jazz and show bands around the Midwest. In 2006, he released his first full-length album entitled Say before moving to Los Angeles. For the past seventeen years, Eric has performed and recorded with numerous jazz, rock, blues, Latin, and big-bands around town, and appears on recordings from Leah Ashton, Brother James, Griff Hamilin, Scotty Mac, and Theo Bishop. He has been a member of the Disneyland Band for the past nine years. He and his wife founded and curated Jazz Under Ground, a weekly jazz series in Los Angeles that has been running for over six years. In May, 2024 Eric released his second full-length album So Far.
